Does the barking sound really deter people?
The receiver plays a realistic dog bark at up to 110dB the moment the sensor detects motion. The point isn't pretending you have a real dog — it's making the space sound occupied. Victoria Police prevention advice and ABS Crime Victimisation data both note that opportunistic offenders prefer properties that appear empty and unmonitored. A loud, immediate audible response at the approach point is what makes them choose the next house instead.
It's a deterrent layer, not a guarantee. Determined and prepared offenders are a different threat model — for that, you need monitoring, cameras and physical hardening alongside this.
Do I need Wi-Fi or a subscription?
No. The receiver and sensor talk to each other directly — no Wi-Fi, no app account, no monthly fee. Works during outages, in sheds, garages and rental properties where you can't run cables.
Is shipping really free across Australia?
