This page explains how K9-Alert handles customer and website information.

Information we collect

We may collect information you provide when ordering, contacting support, or requesting setup help, such as name, email address, shipping information, order details, and support messages.

Payment information

Payments are handled by the checkout provider. K9-Alert does not intentionally store full card numbers on this website.

How information is used

Information is used to process orders, provide shipping and support, handle returns or warranty requests, improve the website, and respond to customer enquiries.

Optional Meta advertising measurement

Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API are optional. They remain off unless you select Accept marketing. If you consent, we may send events such as page view, product view, add to cart, checkout start and paid purchase to Meta so we can measure whether advertising led to a sale and improve campaign performance.

For a paid purchase, the information sent may include the order value and currency, a non-card order identifier, Meta browser identifiers, and privacy-protected matching data such as a normalised and securely hashed email address or phone number. We do not send full card details. Browser and server purchase events use the same checkout session identifier so Meta can deduplicate them.

Google Analytics and optional Google Ads measurement

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate website use and record completed purchases. Google advertising storage and personalisation remain off unless you select Accept marketing. Consent Mode communicates that choice to Google.

If you accept marketing and complete a paid purchase, K9-Alert may provide Google Ads with the purchase time, value, currency, a non-card order identifier, Google advertising click identifiers captured from the visit, and securely hashed contact details for conversion matching. This server-side data source is restricted to consented purchases, is used for advertising measurement and attribution, and does not include full card details. The same Stripe checkout session identifier is used as the transaction identifier to reduce duplicate counting.

Your choice and how to opt out

Rejecting optional tracking does not affect browsing or checkout. Your choice is stored in a first-party browser setting for up to 12 months. You can change it at any time using the button below. If you withdraw consent, K9-Alert stops sending new optional Meta and Google Ads marketing events from that browser and removes the optional marketing cookies it can control.

Third parties and overseas processing

We use service providers for payments, analytics, email, hosting and advertising. Google and, when optional Meta measurement is enabled, Meta Platforms may process information outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries where they operate. Those providers handle information under their own privacy terms and applicable safeguards.

Data minimisation, security and retention

We limit advertising measurement to information needed for matching, attribution, delivery troubleshooting and campaign reporting. Diagnostic delivery records do not contain full card details. Purchase and accounting records may be kept where required for business, tax, fraud prevention, warranty or legal obligations; other information is reviewed and removed or de-identified when it is no longer reasonably required.

Access and correction

You may contact us to request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you. You may also ask a privacy question or make a complaint, and we will respond within a reasonable period.

Data deletion requests

To request deletion of personal information associated with K9-Alert or its Meta advertising integration, email support@k9alert.com.au with the subject Data deletion request. Include the email address used for your order or enquiry and enough information for us to verify the request. We will delete or de-identify information we are not required to retain and confirm the outcome. Some order, payment, fraud-prevention, tax, warranty or legal records may need to be retained for the applicable period.
